Peli

Chiesa di PeliPeli is 940 meters above sea level. The village consists of a small church and some houses located on upland close to the Faraneto castle. From the peak it is possible to admire a beautiful view and to see the ruins of the Magrini castle in Coli. Also visible is Mt Saint Agostino, Mt Penice and the Alps in the distance. Peli is an important location for the memory of Partisans from World War II. It was under the command of Emilio Canzi whose remains are in the cemetery.

Peli Church

The small building dates back to the seventeenth century but it could be older because of its shape. The inside is richly decorated with frescoes and stuccoes.
